Greetings from the Greater Princeton Area SCORE Chapter - Chapter 631
Bill Litchman, Chapter Chair
Our chapter and its over 40 members welcome you to our web site.
The Greater Princeton Area Chapter of SCORE is part of a national
nonprofit association and a resource partner of the SBA. SCOREs
over 11,000 volunteers serve as "Counselors to America's Small
Business" and are dedicated to the education of entrepreneurs and
the formation, growth and success of the nation's small businesses,
one client at a time.
SCORE provides free and confidential business counseling, coaching,
and mentoring, tailored to meet the needs of your small business
and your personal objectives. SCORE also offers free seminars and
workshops for both start-up entrepreneurs and established small
business owners. Our partners, sponsors, and supporters make it
possible to offer all our services at no cost to you. Through your
local SCORE counselor, you will also learn of SCOREs nationwide
online counseling program providing you access to over 1,100
counselors across the country.
Our volunteers are real-world professionals, both active and
retired, with time-tested knowledge. They volunteer thousands of
hours to help small businesses start-up and succeed. Our counselors
are experts in such areas as accounting, finance, human resources,
a broad spectrum of technologies, international trade,
import/export, law including the legal aspects of forming a
company, operations, production, retail, wholesale, manufacturing,
sales, marketing, management, business plan preparation, and many
other disciplines.
Our counselors are ready to provide you the benefit of their
expertise in a single counseling session or work with you in
accordance with your schedule to develop your business plan so that
it is "finance ready".
Our Chapter is comprised of more than 40 dedicated and talented
volunteers who provide free advice, guidance, and counseling to
entrepreneurs in both Middlesex and Mercer counties of New Jersey.

The Greater Princeton Area SCORE Chapter provides four types of counseling:
• Face-to-face at our various locations in Mercer and Middlesex
Counties: For both start-ups and established businesses... More
than 40 counselors with a wide range of experience meet with you at
one of convenient locations. Sessions generally last from one hour
and may be with two or more counselors. Follow-up meetings will be
scheduled, and are encouraged and clients will be urged to complete
agreed action assignments to further their own process.
• On-Site: For established businesses... After an initial
appointment at one of our locations to determine your goals and
objectives, if it seems more appropriate and beneficial to you
SCORE advisors will conduct counseling sessions at your facility,
instead of our locations.
• Mentoring: For businesses that require long-term strategic,
operational or turn-around counseling... One or more SCORE
counselors will serve as your principal advisors and mentors. If
you need specialized assistance, other counselors will be brought
in to work with you on an as needed basis.
• E-Mail: Face to face counseling is always preferred, but when
that is not possible you can choose a counselor anywhere in the
U.S. by visiting www.score.org or you can request a counselor via our "Contact Us" page. Often times our Counselors will follow up
face-to-face sessions with you via e-mail or telephone when
appropriate; and, some activities can be conducted via email.
Counseling sessions take place at convenient times, Monday through
Friday, mornings, afternoons, and evenings at our several locations
in both Mercer and Middlesex counties. Should you need other times,
special appointments can be made. Confirmed appointments are
required, as our volunteer counselors frequently have to drive long
distances to meet with you. Please contact us to set a time, date,
and location for a counseling session.
Some clients receive all the help they need in one visit; some
require several meetings, and others consult with us on a long
term, ongoing basis. There is never a charge for our services no
matter how many appointments are required to meet your needs. And,
all our counseling is confidential.
To schedule an appointment please call... (609) 393-0505
